A small leather dog, Hermès's answer to the Rodeo horse, made in dozens of seasonal color combinations, built from leather offcuts with a jointed body, a collar and a little bone-shaped tag.
It arrived around 2021 and caught on quickly as the 'other' Hermès charm collectors chase alongside the Rodeo.
Resale sits well above its $740 boutique price, with common color combinations selling for about $1,000 to $1,400 and studded or special versions going higher.
There are three editions: the Classic ($740), the studded Budy Apic ($1,200), which resells for roughly double, and the multicolor Budy À la Mer ($1,200, launched July 2026, too new for a reliable resale price). Like the Rodeo, it is widely faked.
Our verdict: The best-performing Hermès charm after the Rodeo, trading well above retail.
