Constellation · c. 1966 to early 1970s · Discontinued
Rank #14 of 32 in the Omega Vault
Average market price for an example in excellent condition. Dashed line marks the new constellation retail (2026).
The pie-pan nickname describes the faceted dial that slopes at the edges like an upturned pie tin.
The 168.005 used the automatic chronometer calibre 561 and carried the Constellation observatory medallion on the caseback.
Pie-pan Constellations from the 1950s and 1960s are among the most collected vintage Omegas.
Price depends heavily on dial condition and case metal..
Our verdict: The 1960s pie-pan Constellation is a real chronometer for around $2,000. Many have refinished dials, so originality decides the price.
