“Ceramic Daytona”
Grade A · 88/100Today's call: Buy
A: strong buy-and-hold. Ranked #8 of 129 references in The Crown Index vault.

| 1-year trend | -4% |
The reference that defined the 2016 to 2022 watch boom. It peaked near $45,000 in spring 2022, corrected hard, and has settled around $26,000.
Now discontinued, it trades as the 'last 4130' Daytona. The post-bubble floor has proven sticky.
When this launched at Baselworld 2016 the waitlist formed before the booth closed. The white dial sold so much better than black that dealers started calling the black dial 'the discount Daytona', a sentence nobody had said about a Daytona in fifty years.
Its 4130 movement, introduced in 2000, used fewer parts than any chronograph Rolex had made, which is why watchmakers love servicing it and why clean examples run forever between services.
Our verdict: Strong hold. You missed the rocket, but the floor is roughly 2x its original retail and discontinuation protects it.
