Rolex's first left-handed 'destro' GMT, launched in 2022 to a frenzy, then cooled as supply caught up.
It is a genuine oddity in the catalog, and oddities tend to age well once discontinued.
This is a destro, a left-handed watch: crown on the left, date at 9 o'clock, built to be worn on the right wrist. It's the first lefty Rolex ever put into series production, and righties bought it anyway just to have the strangest GMT in the catalog.
The green and black 'Sprite' bezel had never existed before 2022, and if Rolex ever drops the destro experiment this becomes a one-generation oddity, which is precisely the kind of thing collectors hoard.
Our verdict: Fair entry today after the hype faded. A long-term quirk play rather than a momentum trade.
