The story

The 80s and 90s two-tone classic, riding both the small-watch wave and the two-tone revival. Up 26.7 percent December 2025 to May 2026.

Sapphire crystal and quickset date make it far more livable than the 6917 it replaced. European pricing (around EUR 5,400 to 6,000) often undercuts US dealers.

The two-tone 26 is having the biggest second act in the building: 80s wealth signaling reborn as 2020s cool, worn with everything from suits to gym fleece on half the style feeds on the internet.

Produced from 1984 to 1999 in vast numbers, so condition is everything: crisp case lines and an unstretched Jubilee separate the good buys from the worn-out ones. Factory diamond dials carry a real premium; aftermarket stones kill value.

Our verdict: Double tailwind: small sizing plus two-tone fashion. Tritium dials should show even, original patina.
