The rose gold Daytona that made Oysterflex cool. Launched in 2017, it was the first time Rolex put a precious metal Daytona on rubber, and it instantly became the stealthy celebrity choice.
The chocolate dial is the one to know: warm brown against Everose gold, a combination that photographs beautifully and has its own small fan club.
Like most precious-metal Daytonas it peaked in 2022 and has been settling ever since. Discontinued in 2023, it is now the previous generation of the gold-on-rubber look.
It trades near its old retail, which makes it the value way into a gold Daytona compared with buying the current model new.
Our verdict: C: a great-looking watch at a fair price, still drifting down from the bubble. Chocolate dial is the pick.
