The first-generation Deepsea, rated to 3,900 meters, and the original home of the D-Blue dial.
The D-Blue dial fades from bright blue at the top to black at the bottom, created to celebrate James Cameron's 2012 solo dive to the deepest point in the ocean.
At 44mm and quite thick, it is a big watch, which keeps demand modest and prices near retail.
It is the more affordable way into a D-Blue Deepsea than the current model.
Our verdict: C: a cool watch with a great dial, priced fairly. Buy it to wear.
