“Everose Sky Oysterflex”
Grade D · 52/100Today's call: Buy it to wear, not to flip
D: passion purchase. Ranked #154 of 164 references in The Crown Index vault.

Rolex's most complicated mainstream movement, an annual calendar plus second time zone, in solid Everose gold on rubber. It is the most luxurious way to wear the Sky-Dweller.
The steel Sky-Dweller has a waitlist and trades above retail. The gold versions do not, and this is one of the clearest examples of the metal mattering more than the mechanism in Rolex resale.
It has been trading well below its $46,400 retail since launch and sliding a little further each year.
For a buyer who wants the complication and the gold, pre-owned is the only sensible way in.
Our verdict: D: great watch, weak resale. Let the first owner take the loss.
