The 28 is the size most people wear, crossbody on a long leather strap.
It is not a quota bag, and pre-owned prices sit far below the boutique price: recorded sales cluster around $4,000 against a retail near $9,750.
That makes it one of the cheapest ways into a full leather Hermès bag pre-owned, and one of the weakest at holding value new.
Our verdict: A great everyday Hermès to buy used. A poor one to buy new and resell.
Buy only from authenticated resellers or with a professional authentication. The most wanted Hermès pieces are also the most counterfeited.
