The story

The Speedmaster Racing line takes its name from the checkered minute track used on Speedmasters since the late 1960s.

This 2017 model uses the 44.25mm case and the self-winding 9900 movement.

It has no direct space heritage, so it trades at a large discount to retail.

It is a value pick on the secondary market..

Our verdict: A 44mm Master Chronometer that sells for little more than half its retail. Few buyers want it pre-owned, which is exactly why it is cheap.
